Stefanie (Stef) Grossano is a third-year Master of Divinity student at Harvard Divinity School. Stef was raised in Northern New Jersey and has resided in Boston since 2012 when she moved here to complete her undergraduate degree at Boston University. She joined Memorial Church in the fall of 2023 following an unexpected call to ministry and is excited to deepen her discernment through the Seminarian Program.

Before attending graduate school, Stef worked in prison education and civil legal aid. She is committed to building a world in which conflict and harm is responded to with accountability and repair instead of punishment and exclusion and hopes to support Memorial Church in developing a prison ministry.

Having been raised Roman Catholic and eventually striking out on her own spiritual path which has included Unitarian Universalism and various Christian traditions, she especially welcomes speaking with students and congregants who are spiritually seeking. When Stef is not donning her black cassock, you can find her running along the Charles, taking an improv class, cooking elaborate meals for her housemates, or reading in the Student Oasis.
