The Rev. Dr. Calvon T. Jones is the Assistant Minister in the Memorial Church. Before coming to Harvard, Calvon served as the Youth Pastor of the historic Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago, IL. His ministry is centered in the love of Christ, striving to be light of love, justice, peace, and hospitality. In addition, he is a recording artist, composer, and singer. He released his first Gospel album in 2021.

Calvon, a religion major at Morehouse College, graduated in 2015 Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He earned a Master of Divinity degree in 2018 from Yale Divinity School where he was a William Sloane Coffin Scholar, and a recipient of the William Hallam Tweedy Prize for exceptional promise for pastoral leadership. Recently, he earned his doctorate in ministry degree from Duke Divinity School, focusing on homiletics and proclamation.

Calvon grew up in North Carolina, and now lives in Cambridge, MA with his wife, Alleya.
