Harvard Supporting International Students and Scholars

The Rev. Matthew Potts

Dear friends,

So much of what makes this university and church community so special is how far we’ve all come to gather in this one place, how different we are while engaging in our common work. Many, many beloved members of our community – friends, colleagues, students, teachers, mentors, congregants – have been effectively banished from Harvard by Thursday’s federal actions.

To anyone directly affected by these actions, I just wanted to write and say: You are essential to who we are. You are part of our community. You belong here, and we will do all we can to sustain and strengthen that belonging, whatever else happens. There are challenges ahead, but we will not let go of you. We go forward together.

Yours in Christ,

Matt
