Pop-Art Nuns & the Art of Protest

Join MemChurch Seminarian and printmaker Marty Martinage for a short introduction to the life and art of Sister Corita Kent, followed by a collaborative printmaking workshop! We’ll focus on the intersection of faith and social justice in Sister Corita’s own printmaking, and then put what we learn into practice by carving our own printing blocks and combining them to make a “quilt” of our hopes for justice in our world. No experience necessary, and all materials will be provided!
