MemChurch Sunday Sessions

In a world that prioritizes our digital and intellectual lives, taking time to make something with your hands can be deeply grounding—and fun! Guided by the ancient monastic idea of ora et labora (“pray and work”) and a belief that even bad art is worth making, artists and crafters from the Memorial Church community will lead monthly workshops inspired by the spiritual and physical practices of creators past and present. 

Project: Making Things New: An Introduction to Mending and Embroidery 

Join us on Sunday afternoons to explore the sacred through everyday acts of creativity! Our Sunday Sessions are a series of rotating, drop-in-friendly workshops where we delve into reading, writing, cooking for others, and art-making as ways to care for one another and ourselves.
