Harvard University Choir 2017-18 Preview

Gund University Organist and Choirmaster Edward E. Jones introduces the upcoming music season for the Harvard University Choir, including a special celebration of Claudio Monteverdi, in honor of the 450th anniversary of his birth. Performances will include L'Orfeo and the majestic Vespers of 1610. In addition, guest conductor Masaaki Suzuki, the 2017 Christoph Wolff Distinguished Visiting Scholar, will hold an open rehearsal with the Harvard University Choir this Fall. Looking ahead to Spring Term, Barry Rose will led the choir in a service of Choral Evensong. View the full calendar of music events here

For over 180 years the Harvard University Choir has provided a unique opportunity for Harvard student singers to perform great choral literature at the highest level, both in concert and during the services of the Memorial Church.
