Her research explores the narrative art and theology of biblical texts as resources for Christian preaching. She is interested in ways in which preaching can support believers’ spiritual formation via insights from biblical studies, feminist perspectives on power, and ecotheology. Her books include a commentary on <em>Micah (2024)</em>; a commentary on <em>Jeremiah 26–52 (2022)</em>; <em>The Prophetic Literature (2019); Wrestling the Word: The Hebrew Scriptures and the Christian Believer (2010); and Irony and Meaning in the Hebrew Bible (2009)</em>. An Episcopal priest, she serves as Preacher in Residence at St. Thomas’s Episcopal Church in New Haven, Connecticut.
