DESCRIPTION:<p>	<drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="0d895639-4518-4b0f-a403-401d8eda8e25" data-align="left" alt="Professor Norman Wirzba, Noble Lecturer" data-view-mode="hwp_small"></drupal-media>Norman Wirzba, is the <span><span style="sans-serif">Gilbert T. Rowe Distinguished Professor of Christian Theology and Senior Fellow at the Kenan Institute of Ethics at Duke University. His research and teaching interests are at the intersections of theology, philosophy, ecology, and agrarian and environmental studies. His latest book the "Agrarian Spirit: Cultivating Faith, Community, and the Land" offers a distinctly agrarian reframing of spiritual practices to address today’s most pressing social and ecological concerns.</span></span></p><p>	The lecture is the second of four lectures this academic year. The four-part series will take a plunge into the moral and ethical questions surrounding the global climate crisis and the role of religious institutions, organization and members of the general public, outside the scientific community focused on saving the planet. </p><p>	In the spring, <a href="https://humansandnature.org/dekila-chungyalpa/" title="">Dekila Chungyalpa</a>, Director of the Loka Initiative at the University of Wisconsin - Madison will speak on March 22. <a href="https://theology.nd.edu/people/emmanuel-katongole/" title="">Emmanuel Katongole</a>, Ph.D., Professor of Theology and of Peace Studies, University of Notre Dame, Extraordinary Professor of Theology and Ecclesiology, University of Stellenbosch, Keough School of Global Affairs will wrap up the lecture series in April.</p><p>	<drupal-media data-entity-type="media" data-entity-uuid="8f1516a4-8f67-4db2-97b6-0fd61748d570" alt="Norman Wirzba Noble Lecturer" data-view-mode="hwp_full_width"></drupal-media></p><p>	 </p><p>	 </p>
