About Mable Chan

Mable Chan is the Host and Executive Producer of “One in a Billion” — a podcast about China through the voices of Chinese millennials in America. China Personified, a global network community and a digital storytelling platform with video, blogs and a podcast, has been incorporated into “One in a Billion Productions, Inc” a non-profit educational media organization (501c3).

A Hong Kong born, bilingual producer with more than 20 years of experience with Hong Kong television (HK-TVB) and American networks — ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN and Fox, Mable has traveled the world covering major stories in China, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Europe. An award-winning producer, Mable has achieved excellence in journalism with top honors including the Edward R. Murrow, the DuPont-Columbia, and the George F. Peabody. Mable is widely recognized in the media industry for her creativity, drive, energy, amicable personality, and professional commitment to deliver the highest quality production. A Harvard graduate with a master’s degree in East Asian Studies (AM’93), Mable completed her one-year appointment as a visiting scholar at the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies at Harvard (2010-11), and remains an “Associate-in-Research” at Harvard.


The Faith & Life Forum explores matters of faith and public life. This term, we will explore the theme of "Redefining Success: Living a Life of Sacrifice and Service” through readings, discussion, interviews, and lectures.
