    Stephanie Paulsell: Exploring Writing as a Spiritual Practice

    Repeats every week every Monday until Mon Mar 04 2024 except Mon Feb 19 2024.

    The Memorial Church
    Stephanie Paulsell, Susan Shallcross Swartz Professor of the Practice of Christian Studies, Harvard Divinity School, Co-Faculty Dean of Eliot House, and former Interim Pusey Minister in the Memorial Church, will lead a writing circle to reflect on writing as a spiritual practice and spend time writing in each other's company.  Each circle will begin with a short meditation on how a particular writer has understood writing as a spiritual practice, followed by a prompt and time to write.  We'll end with some shared reflection and close with a poem.  All are welcome.

    Queer-Affirming and Feminist Bible Study for Students

    Whether you’re brand new to the Bible or looking to understand this ancient text in a new way, this inclusive Bible study is for you! Together, we’ll engage with the Bible through different lenses and theologies (including queer, feminist, and liberation theologies) and discuss it in community as we ask, “How does this text speak to my life today?” All creeds, religions, and identities are welcome! For more information contact Student Program Coordinator Anna Burnham.

    The Faith & Life Forum for the 2023-24 academic year will pursue close readings of the four gospels as narrative and literary texts. The forum began with the Gospel of Matthew in October, followed by the Gospel of Mark in November. The Gospels of Luke and John are the topics of study in February and April. All are welcome.
