For Harvard's 350th Anniversary Celebrations in 1986, Memorial Church commissioned this large-scale anthem, "The Light Here Kindled", from composer Ronald Perera '63. This recording is taken from the anniversary service, performed by the Harvard University Choir and Brass with soloist Nathaniel Watson and organist Nancy Granert, under the direction of John Ferris. The work uses a text by Govenor William Bradford from "Of Plimoth Plantation." September 7, 1986
