Kerry A.  Maloney

Kerry Maloney has served Harvard Divinity School since 2004, first as the associate director of ministry studies and then as chaplain and director of the Office of Religious and Spiritual Life. In the decade before her arrival at Harvard,  she worked as Chaplain to the College at Bates College in Lewiston, Maine, where she was responsible for the development of the campus’s multireligious life and for the extension of the college’s historic commitments to peace and justice as well as to public service. Prior to her work at Bates, she served for twelve years as chaplain at Boston College. At BC, she organized initiatives addressing the intersection of intellectual and spiritual formation, oversaw many retreat programs, and developed university-wide projects on urban social change, service learning, women and religion, and prayer.  She is an ordained clergyperson in the United Church of Christ and a licensed social worker.
