C.P.E. Bach's Die israeliten in Der Wüste

The Harvard University Choir and the Harvard Baroque Chamber Orchestra present a performance of Die Israeliten in der Wüste by Johann Sebastian Bach’s most famous son, Carl Philipp Emanuel, whose 300th anniversary is celebrated in 2014.

In addition, from 3:00–5:00 p.m. in Paine Hall, a symposium will take place about this oratorio moderated by Professor Christoph Wolff, and featuring Ellen Harris, Reginald Sanders, and Edward Jones.

Both events are free and open to the public.
